New Work Out Now
There are some wonderful projects I have been very fortunate to collaborate on, available online and in stores now. Many of my favorites from these shoots can be seen in my updated portfolio. I welcome any feedback you may have!
I mentioned ReStyle Source in the recent My New York post. They are the newest addition to lifestyle & home goods online, and they organize - in oh-so-pretty a way! - where to find unusual-delicious-beautiful things from great, local producers nationwide. I am a style scout and photographer for their NY projects; here is one of the first of my picks to be featured.
In other news, towards the end of fall, I flew down to the (incredibly beautiful) Southern Living headquarters to shoot a story featured in this month's magazine. Called "What to Eat Now" I spent a great day shooting the story with the truly awesome photo staff - thank you Erin, Heather, Julie, and Hunter! - and the fabulous food stylist Tami Hardeman and prop stylist Lydia Purcell. You ladies rocked!! Available on newsstands now, be sure to check out this yummy story, complete with a variety of crowd-pleasing recipes.

Another nice add, here is my very own source page, with more goodies soon to follow....

If these images delight but you can't get your hands on the magazine for any reason, the recipes are also available here. (scroll towards bottom and you'll find 'em)
I am so grateful to work on projects like these with such talented people. This is my passion. Hardworking people, beautiful objects which tell a story, and *fresh-fresh* gorgeous ingredients to bring everything together. Look for more soon! (:-)

Winter Cooking, Chocolate Mousse & Sweet Paul Holiday Edition
Sweet Paul Magazine came out yesterday, and we all agree that it looks fabulous. I had so much fun working on the issue! There is photography by me throughout, including this and that. But the real show-stoppers are my Winter Cooking story, and the Fave Photographers' feature. So cool!!!
Here is another look at the tasty morsels...
I can attest that each and every item is sensationally tasty. Please click here for the recipes and tell us what you think!
When Paul asked me about my signature holiday dish for his favorite photographers story, my mind went racing. I could do the leg of lamb I love so much or different cookies that sing the holiday-tune, but as I thought further, I knew my KahlĂșa chocolate mousse had to be it. In an ad torn from the pages of a really old issue of Gourmet, this recipe is what I make to surprise neighbors and colleagues with (and when I don't make it, you can believe I hear about it).
Here's a pairing I fancy that didn't appear in the magazine. The plum garnish is a playful adaptation from the famous "Twas the Night Before Christmas" poem, where it says "...while visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads"... The glistening sugar coating offers a nice crunch, and the flesh makes for a bright and juicy accent in all that chocolatey depth!
A sublime treat to enjoy whenever, and especially nice to share with loved ones. This has been another great adventure. More on the way soon!

Everyone Has a Blog
Well, it's true. Which is why I resisted for as long as I could, thinking that because everyone else had one, it didn't serve me to hop on board into the vast and dark (scary?) space that is the blogosphere.... And then I realized I was wrong. The impact that sharing my own voice can have - that my personal sense within the world can be something fantastic to recount - is immense. It bowls me over, actually. I have witnessed this time and time again, and I hope to create enough worthy content that you all will become eager readers and a happy lifetime audience. Small aspirations I have.....
So after toiling away on some major projects of late, creating my very own blog was of course next on the list. :)
Thank you for reading, and for sharing in my experience!
